2026 NIHS Annual Bus Trip

NIHS Annual Bus Trip: Plan to spend the day with fellow hosta enthusiasts shopping and touring five fabulous private gardens in the Rockford area and surrounding communities on Saturday, June 20 All five gardens will be tour gardens at the 2026 Midwest Hosta Society Convention. Our shopping stop will be at Hugo's Hostas, a hosta nursery with a huge display garden showing off mature specimens of the hostas they sell at very modest prices. We will depart at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, from a location yet to be determined near the Tri State Tollway and Lake Cook Road. We will travel by motor coach. No lunch stop is planned, so bring your own lunch to eat on the bus. Northern Illinois Hosta Society will provide limited on-board refreshments. We expect to go regardless of the weather, so bring rain gear if the weather looks unfavorable. We are limited to 52 participants, so plan to sign up early to ensure a place on the bus. The cost of the tour is $52 per individual for members, and the fee is $62 for any non-member guests. |
