Mark your calendars for a special afternoon for NIHS Members and their guests.
12-1:00 p.m. Our winter symposium will be held at Cantigny Park, in the Education Center on Sunday March 16th from 12:00 pm until 3:00 p.m.
12:00-1:00 p.m.
We have had many requests for Jan to return, so our returning garden vendor will be our own Jan Smith selling cement garden stepping stones with detailed leaf impressions in her designs prior to the meeting in the Education Center. She will also have garden art water colors to sell. These are truly stepping stones lovely and will be a talking point in your gardens, as well as a focal point. Jan does not take credit card payments, so please bring a check or cash to pay for her garden art.

NIHS Members socializing continues from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Water and soda will be provided with some prepared snacks and some wonderful treats provided by our amazing NIHS bakers. Come stay and visit for awhile with your fellow members! Also, don't forget to visit the Master Gardener Table for your hosta or gardening questions.
Don't forget we will have our Symposium raffle for our NIHS Members and their guests. A few of you will take home a plant for your garden. We are hopeful your guests will want to become members in this garden society. So we are asking our members to bring a gardening friend who might want to join NIHS.
Don't forget to wear your new NIHS name tags. If you haven't picked up your new name tag already with our new logo, please stop by the Membership table located near the doors that you enter in the Education Center. You will also sign the attendance sheet at this table too.
