H. ‘Love Story’ - For those of us that remember the 1970 movie of the same name starring Ali McGraw and Ryan O’Neal, you are going to love this medio-variegated hosta from Hans Hansen and Walters Gardens. The leaves are 12” long, pointed leaves of white, edged by wide, deep green, ruffled margins. Large sections of chartreuse jet out from the petiole between the white center and green edge, creating a dramatic tricolor look. ‘Love Story’ is a steady grower reaching at least 14” tall and 39” across. It blooms in early summer with fertile white flowers.
